Share Solar Panels Ontario Program

If you currently don’t have a budget for solar panel installation but want to reap the many benefits of having solar panels, our share solar panel program in Ontario is for you. You can choose from three options, all of which come at absolutely no cost to you but will provide you with guaranteed revenue. Simply choose which option suits your financial interests best:

Option A: Cash Incentive

This solar panels Ontario program option allows you to receive a one-time upfront payment of $2000-$3000 (depending on usable roof space) for putting solar panels on your roof.

• Get paid upfront, and with absolutely no cost to you!
• Useful for funding home renovations, or long-desired dream vacations. Want to finally take that vacation to Cuba you and your spouse have been talking about? This is your option!

Option B: Revenue Share

This solar option allows you to receive annual payments equivalent to 10% of what the solar system produces (approximately $300/ year, or more depending on usable roof space) for putting solar panels on your roof.

• Useful for people who are on fixed incomes and are looking for supplementary annual income
• Money can be used to hedge against the cost of electricity bills

Option C: Accelerated Ownership

With this Ontario solar panels program option your house can be installed with solar panels at no cost and you can start benefitting from renewable energy right away. Rather than inheriting the panels after 20 years, you will inherit the panels after 15 years, with 5 years left on your government microFIT agreement. All of the remaining 5 years of the microFIT revenue is yours (approximately $15,000 – $16,000)!

• Very powerful tool to fund future savings (i.e. Tuition fees for children, retirement savings)

Co-Investment

Option A: Pre-Payment

With this solar option you can pay a desired amount ($5,000, $10,000, or $15,000), and receive a guaranteed 10%-11% rate of return, provided by our installer Polaron Solartech.

• Cash flow positive on your investment as soon as installation is completed
• Exceptionally high returns for a secure investment
• You can use the money to pay off your mortgage faster
• Our installer will still cover maintenance and insurance of the panels for 20 years, at no cost to you

Co-Investment

Option B: Accelerated Ownership

With this solar option you can pay a desired amount ($5,000, $10,000, or $15,000), and inherit the solar panels from our installer Polaron Solartech much faster.

Financial benefits

• Highest ROI (a $15,000 investment can yield back over $50,000 over 20 years)!
• Exceptionally high and guaranteed returns for a secure investment
• You can pay off your mortgage faster
• Polaron Solartech will still cover maintenance and insurance of the panels for 20 years, at no cost to you

Purchase Option

With this option you can purchase your own solar panel system and reap 100% of the government guaranteed MicroFIT revenue!

Financial benefits

• Cash flow positive on your investment as soon as installation is completed
• Exceptionally high and guaranteed returns for a secure investment
• You can use the money to pay off your mortgage faster, fund future savings or offset the cost of your hydro bill
• Highest total income of any solar panel program in Ontario ($55,000 – $70,000, depending on your roof)

-Energy bills in Ontario are comprised of both fixed charges and variable charges. All variable charges on your hydro bill are tied directly towards your overall hydro consumption.

-Power generated through solar panels is used to offset the power you currently consume from your local hydro provider. Your bill will still show your consumption (as it does now) however, you will also see the generation produced through your solar asset.

-Your new hydro bill with solar will include your solar financing, and the reduced hydro bill amount. In most instances, hydro costs can be completely eliminated.

Tiered Pricing

As part of the process of getting net-metered solar on your roof, your hydro time-of-use “smart meter” will be replaced with a tiered meter. For any electricity you consume with a tiered meter, you will pay the Ontario Energy Board’s tiered prices. Please see the link below for more information:

Unfortunately, this solution is not for every home due to factors such as shading of your roof, orientation to the sun, and shingle composition/ age. We can usually determine if solar net-metering is right for you on a quick phone call.

Commercial buildings are also eligible for net-metering. Reboot Solar is currently working with small business owners to offset their energy demands.
